Kathryn J. Collins

Mrs. Kathryn Joan Collins, 72, of 302 32nd, died Thursday [Nov. 27, 1975] at her home of heart failure.

Mrs. Collins was born Dec. 2, 1902, in Ogden, a daughter of Gerhareus [sic] Hendrik and Hermina Jansen VanLeeuwen.

On March 17, 1920, she was married to Richard Leslie Collins. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 13, 1969.

She was a lifelong resident of Ogden and was educated in Ogden City schools.

She was a member of the Ogden 27th LDS Ward and was past president of the Relief Society. She had been a temple worker.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Earl Collins and Dale Kent Collins, both of Ogden; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Hewitt, Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Monday [Dec. 1, 1975] at 11 a.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Ralph Crandall of the 27th Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment in Ogden City Cemetery.
