Despondent, it is said, over a love affair, Charlotte Bremer, daughter of F. J. Bremer, 464 22nd street, attempted suicide last night [Aug. 26, 1915] by the carbolic acid route. A quick administration of alcohol prevented a tragedy but the young woman was badly burned by the poison she had taken. She is 20 years of age.
