OFFENDERS GET VARYING SENTENCES

Newton, who Obtained Money under False Pretences and Chapman Suspected of Robbery, get Good Sentences--Boy Offenders are Allowed to go.

This morning [Dec. 26, 1903] shows rather a busy time in the police court. Besides disposing of several minor cases consisting of Christmas drunks and disturbing the peace cases there were two hearings on more serious charges.

The boys, Otto Blair and Fred Bramer who robbed Donaldson's candy kitchen were allowed to go under a severe reprimand from the judge. This is about the tenth offense that they have been mixed in. During the investigation it developed that Donaldson's own son is implicated in some of these offences.
